She is currently working on a number of projects including a book on entertaining in the garden.The book will be published by Chronicle Books in Spring of 2001. It will include over 70 seasonal recipes and full-color photography of gardens, food, and flower and plant still-lifes. She is also writing a monthly feature on seasonal food and entertaining for StarChefs.

Other recent books include Picnics: Elegant Recipes for Al fresco Dining, published by Chronicle Books in Spring 1999. She is the author, art director and designer of Sunday Dinner, published by Chronicle Books in Fall 1998. She is also the author, art director and designer of Spring Evenings, Summer Afternoons and Autumn Nights, Winter Mornings which were published in the Spring of 1994 and Fall of 1995, respectively, by Chronicle Books.

Other recent projects include designing The AMA Family Health Cookbook, published by Pocket Books, 1998 James Beard award winner; Heart Healthy Cooking for All Seasons, by Marvin Moser. M.D., with Larry Forgione, Jimmy Schmidt, and Alice Waters for Pocket Books; and Creating A Room by interior designer Charlotte Moss for Viking Studio Books. In addition to these cookbooks, Barbara has designed guide books and home and garden design books such as The Charms of Tea, Moments in the Garden and The Intimate Home for William Morrow and Company. Also, The Heritage of Southern Cooking, by Camille Glen, The Great American Seafood Cookbook, by Susan Hermann Loomis and The Food Lover's Guide to Paris and The Food Lover's Guide to France, by Patricia Wells for Workman Publishing. Barbara Scott-Goodman lives and works in New York City and Northern Westchester County with her husband Lester and their daughters, Alexandra and Isabelle.
