Batidas
.... Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 ounces caçhaca
Mas uses Pirasununga "51", available at most large liquor stores.
- 3/4 shot of bar syrup
Bar syrup can also be bought at liquor stores, but can also be easily
made. See recipe below
- Fruit juice such as mango, guava, passion fruit or cashew juice
(Mas uses a brand of fruit juice called "dafruta". It is available in
Latin Food stores. This product is used because it lends the most authentic
flavor to the cocktail. The juices can be combined to create different
flavors.)
Directions:
1. Fill shaker with ice
2. Add all ingredients
3. Shake and drain into glass
For Bar Syrup:
1. Mix sugar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio
2. Boil mixture until it is clear
3. Let cool and use in batidas or other cocktails
