Norman Van Aken is the Chef/Owner of the award-winning
restaurant NORMAN'S in the historic Coral Gables
section of Miami. He is the "Father of New World
Cuisine" and coined the terms, "New World Cuisine"
as well as "Fusion Cuisine." His culinary philosophy
is "to create a marriage of the sensual and rustic
with the classic and intellectual in a celebration
of the various places we live.
Chef Van Aken
has cooked, consulted, written and lectured on
"New World Cuisine" internationally. He has appeared
on CNN, "Good Morning America," "CBS This Morning,"
"TVFN," "Emeril Live" and many other programs.
His work has appeared in The New York Times, TIME,
Newsweek, Charlie Trotter's Cookbooks, Australia's
Vogue and many more. Norman Van Aken is the exclusive
Celebrity Chef for United Airlines for all flights
to Latin America and the Caribbean.
