Pepper Steak

1 & 1/2 pounds of any kind of steak. (Not too thick ) Slice meat about 1 inch long fry in a pan with about 1/2 teaspoon of butter. When meat is cooked thoroughly about 5 to 8 min. I usually am chopping an onion into slices ahead and I put the onion in as soon as you are done cutting it this adds more flavor to your steak. Then cut a green bell pepper into strips. As soon as your meat is well cooked put in your bell pepper strips. Immediately pour 3 to 4 cans of beef gravy into your frying pan let simmer on a very low heat for about 5 to 10 minutes covered. When finished you can place it over rice or even better homemade mash potatoes.
Watch your family eat seconds! Mine always does!
