The inaugural Asia's 50 Best Restaurants was announced Monday, February 25, 2013. Sponsored by San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the event celebrated Asia's hottest dining spots and chefs. The lucky 50 were a mix of shoo-ins and surprises, including the winner Chef Yoshihiro Narisawa of Tokyo. This year's list highlights the continent's diverse range of talent and strong appetite for adventurous cooking. In particular, Chef Seiji Yamamoto of Nijohryai and Jaan in Singapore were special recipients, Yamamoto receiving the "Chef's Choice" Award and Jaan "One to Watch."
