The Art of the Deal at the NRA Hotel-Motel Show in Chicago
A Panel Discussion on Creating
Chef-Owner Synergies
Moderated by Antoinette Bruno of StarChefs.com
Saturday,
May 19
Chicago, Illinois
As part of the NRA Show Education Sessions, Antoinette Bruno,
CEO and Editor-in-Chief of StarChefs.com, will moderate a panel
of chefs and restaurant operators that have seen distinct results
from integrating the chef perspective into developing and branding
their restaurants. The panel will explore the economic decisions
that impact the structure of culinary business deals and how
both chefs and equity partners share risks and are compensated
for their respective roles. Whether developing their first concept
or licensing their fifth franchise, attendees will learn how
to propose and structure agreements that satisfy both philosophical
and monetary objectives. Learn what the variables are that contribute
to a chef's decision to partner with a restaurant owner to develop
restaurants with a clearly defined culinary vision. Expert panel
to include: Adam Block, founder, Block & Associates; and
Michael Kornick, chef-owner, mk Restaurant.
