Dean Fearing's Tips

1. Only defrost your turkey a week (or 5 days) out in the refrigerator.

2. Make a plan so you're not exhausted and can't enjoy the day. Shop early. Buy your turkey a week out (see above) so it can thaw properly. Cranberries and dressing can be made long in advance.

3. Remember, never, ever stuff a turkey.
