Meet Me In The Bathroom

When it comes to design and decor, long overlooked lavatories have become focal points in San Francisco restaurants. We're sharing some of the most whimsical and wacky b-room eyecatchers.

San Francisco restaurants do not disappoint when it comes to abstract creativity, but who would have that it would overflow into bathroom decor? When you find yourself staring at the framed painting of a devil crying on the throne or a charming squid shaped like a banana, you can’t help but admire the ornamentation. At Birdsong, actual birdsong titters in the toilets. And at The Morris, home movies are projected onto the wall of the dimly lit water closet. When your date asks why you took so long in the bathroom, just tell them you were too busy admiring the art.
