Announcing American Lamb Board Recipe Contest Winners
This summer, StarChefs partnered with the American Lamb Board to invite our community of chefs to discover the versatility of American lamb and send one lucky chef on a trip for two to Napa, CA.
The grand-prize winner is the incredibly talented Chef César Murillo of North Pond, who turned ground American lamb into a savory pop tart with turmeric, blackberry-chile jam, aged cheddar, and charred ramps. His grand prize trip will include a chef immersion where he will have the opportunity to collaborate and cook American lamb at CIA’s Copia campus, visit a nearby regenerative sheep farm, and of course, experience lots (and lots) of wine tastings.
A big congratulations to Cesar and the two runners up, whose outstanding recipes will not be leaving them empty handed: Chef Anna Nguyen’s American Lamb and Fermented Bean Curd, Gai Lan, Pea Shoots, Mint, and Macadamia Nuts, and Chef Josh Elliott’s Wood-Grilled American Lamb Tsukune, Moorish Spices, Date-Fish Sauce Teriyaki, and Coriander. Congratulations Chefs!
