Tequila Highball

Blanco Tequila, White Port, Melon Aperitif, Elderflower Tonic, Cucumber Bitters

INGREDIENTS:

Saline Solution:
50 grams salt

Citric Acid:
60 grams citric acid powder

To Assemble and Serve:
3 dashes cucumber bitters
¼ ounce Aelred Melon Aperitif
1 ounce white port
1 ounce El Tesoro blanco tequila
Elderflower tonic
Cucumber ribbon

METHOD:

For the Saline Solution:
In a nonreactive container, combine salt and 500 milliliters water. Stir until salt is dissolved. Set aside.

For the Citric Acid:
In a nonreactive container, combine citric acid and 940 milliliters water. Stir until powder is dissolved. Set aside.

To Assemble and Serve:
In a highball glass filled with ice, add the bitters, melon aperitif, white port, tequila, 1 dash Saline Solution, and 8 dashes Citric Acid. Top with elderflower tonic. Garnish with a cucumber ribbon.
