INGREDIENTS
Celery Seed Syrups
Yield: 16 servings
250 grams Demerara sugar
250 grams water
25 grams celery seeds
To Assemble and Serve:
Yield: 1 cocktail
1 ounce Angel's Envy rye whiskey
1 ounce Clear Creek 2-year apple brandy
½ ounce Lustau Palo Cortado Sherry
¼ ounce yellow chartreuse
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
Lemon peel star
METHOD
For the Celery Seed Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature and strain, discarding seeds.
To Assemble and Serve:
In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine whiskey, brandy, Sherry, Chartreuse, bitters, and ½ ounce Celery Seed Syrup. Strain into a chilled coupe.
